Dulwich Common
4mm/ft 00 gauge

This is the club's first DCC layout, built by the younger members of the club, to provide inspiration for younger exhibition audiences.

The layout features a small terminus junction in South London, set in a small grotty area surrounded by more affluent places and open common land. Passenger services will use the station to either terminate and run back to the mainline, or reverse, with some splitting at peak times and others being stabled in the stock sidings adjacent to the station. In addition, there is a small TMD servicing and stabling locos used in a local marshalling yard, both on long distance and trip freights. Furthermore, some freight traffic is generated by a small engineering company which has set itself up on the former goods yard.

Trackwork is Peco code 75 finescale, with control being provided by a Hornby 'Elite' DCC Unit. Buildings are a mixture of card kits from Metcalfe in the background and Pikestuff plastic kits for many of the industrial buildings. Th station building will be scratchbuilt.

Stock is mainly RTR with a few kitbuilt items sneaking in, particularly with older EMU's and some more obscure wagons! It is intended to place the layout in a fairly relaxed timescale, but ideally stock from the early to mid 90's will be used. although dont be suprised to see EWS liveried locos and the odd item in BR Blue.
