As railway modellers know, storing baseboards can be an issue, as there are the risks of dampness, vermin and theft. Over the past years, the club has relied on 2 small sheds to store our layouts in between club nights. And over the years, these sheds have rotted away, and so we thought it was time a new shed was purchased.

 

Our new shed has been designed to fit in the space left by the 2 sheds. It was purchased by Burtenshaw, who are located in Pembury near Tunbridge Wells.

 

 

Pictures of the shed will be uploaded soon, but there hasn't been any progress on the layouts, as the contents of the old shed have had to be kept at member's houses, until the new shed is ready.

 

Insulation and boarding have been completed along with the electrics. Work has now started on building shelving to house the baseboards.
