4mm/ft 00-9 gauge

 

Wesli Mill is the club’s only 00-9 layout. Originally it was intended to be no more than a double test-track with sidings for stock. No sooner was it completed, the members of the club’s narrow gauge group decided that it could be scenically developed into the exhibition layout you see here.

The name ‘Wesli’ is an anagram of the name of the youngest member of the group, and the windmill at Lacey Green inspires the model of the ‘Mill’.

Club members run their own stock based on various UK and continental prototypes. 

 

The layout can be seen at the Ashford Model Railway Show on 12 and 13th May.
